SOURCE RECORD

Initial state discovery lead set: source record

VERIFIED

While major state-certified and announced projects have clear high-level metrics, several coverage and informational gaps remain. Detailed financial figures, exact water consumption quotas, and specific server-building square footage for the Google Putnam County and Monarch Compute campuses are presently limited due to early-stage development and statutory redaction provisions under House Bill 2014, which restrict the public disclosure of proprietary engineering and environmental filings submitted to the Department of Commerce and Data Economy Office. Out of ten total data-center proposals reported statewide by municipal authorities, six smaller or earlier-stage projects lack comprehensive public documentation regarding ownership, exact acreage, and precise power procurement schedules. Furthermore, local community concerns regarding grid reliability, ratepayer cost-shifting, and water resource utilization continue to generate public scrutiny and administrative appeals.
